Founded in 1984, the Orphée Vocal Ensemble (EVO) is now more than 40 years old, an age of significant maturity.

Over the years, EVO has continued to evolve and grow, establishing a strong identity within Geneva’s cultural scene and the surrounding region. Under the direction of Matthieu Schweyer since 2002, the ensemble is distinguished by its dedication to vocal technique, collaborations with some of the region’s finest soloists and orchestras, and ambitious musical programming.

Its repertoire spans the Baroque period to the 20th century, from sacred music to operatic choruses, with a particular emphasis on the great masterpieces of the orchestral oratorio repertoire. The ensemble also enjoys introducing audiences to rare and sometimes forgotten works.
